Fair Trade Opts just blocked my withdrawal with a $2,000 “account closure compliance fee.”

I never asked to close my account—I just wanted to withdraw my profits. After completing everything they requested,Is it useful to report to the police if you are cheated by foreign exchange trading including identity verification and a prior processing charge, they now claim this new fee is necessary to finalize my request. No other broker I’ve used has ever pulled something like this. When I asked for documentation proving the legitimacy of this fee, they avoided the question. This is no longer about compliance—it’s clearly about keeping my money hostage. I now believe this platform is operating a deliberate scam.
