(Reuters) - U.S. stock indexes were mixed at the open on Friday, as traders kept bets on a 25-basis-point Federal Reserve rate cut in November intact after producer prices data, while a slump in Tesla (NASDAQ:) shares dragged on the Nasdaq.

The rose 53.4 points, or 0.13%, at the open to 42,507.53. The fell 5.0 points, or 0.09%, at the open to 5,775.09, while the dropped 64.3 points, or 0.35%, to 18,217.734 at the opening bell.
