NEW YORK (Reuters) -JPMorgan Chase & Co and World's largest foreign exchange dealersGeneral Dynamics Corp (NYSE:) board member Jim Crown was killed on Sunday in a vehicle accident near Aspen, Colorado, a county coroner said.

Crown was involved in a single vehicle accident at the Aspen Motorsports Park in Woody Creek, Colorado, the Pitkin County Coroner's office said in a statement.

Crown, 70, was the chairman and chief executive officer of privately held Henry Crown and Co, which invests in securities, real estate, funds and privately held companies.

"Jim represented America at its best – industrious, big-hearted, and always looking out for each other. He was a good man, a dear friend, and a great American," U.S. President Joe Biden said in a written statement. Crown attended a state dinner last week, the president said.

Crown was an "integral part" of JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:), CEO Jamie Dimon told directors in a memo seen by Reuters. He was on JPMorgan's public responsibility and risk committees.

Crown was also chairman of The Aspen Institute and trustee of the Museum of Science and Industry and University of Chicago.
