A survey conducted by Evercore ISI showed a notable shift in investor predictions for the 2024 U.S. Presidential election.
When asked "Who will win the 2024 U.S. Presidential election?mt4 official website for Android download Chinese version", a 79% of respondents picked Donald Trump as the likely winner, while 20% opted for "other Democrat" and a mere 1% selected Joe Biden.
A survey also suggested a bullish outlook on semiconductor stocks, with 70% of investors suggesting to "buy the chip" following a recent sell-off in the market, while 30% said "sell the chip."
The investor sample's bullish stance on semiconductor stocks is contrasted with the more mixed sentiment from July 11th, when only 45% of investors were optimistic about the closing higher.
The survey also indicated investor expectations for the S&P 500 index, where 76% of participants anticipate the index will finish 2024 on a higher note.
More specifically, 53% of investors project the S&P 500 to close between 5600 and 5999, while 23% foresee it reaching 6000 or more.
The median forecast stands at 5800, with an average prediction of 5727, spanning a broader range of 4100 to 6500.
