In a note to clients this week,Gade ranking forex dealers analysts at Citi discussed the implications for Intel (NASDAQ:), Micron Technology (NASDAQ:), and AMD (NASDAQ:) after Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of NVIDIA (NVDA), hosted a Q&A session in conjunction with GTC.

Huang introduced the new Blackwell chip, which appears to be 1.5 times to 2 times faster than AMD's MI300. He also stated that Blackwell will be priced between $30,000 and $40,000, which is over twice as expensive as AMD's MI300.

The firm believes Huang's comments around Nvidia (NASDAQ:)'s new Blackwell chip and its performance figures were positive for Micron, negative for Intel, and slightly positive for AMD.

"It appears memory content is increasing roughly 35% for the new system, which is good for Micron," said analysts at Citi. "Mr. Huang also mentioned the continuing cannibalization of traditional servers by AI systems, which is bad for Intel, although our checks indicate Nvidia might use Intel for advanced packaging, which could be a positive for Intel stock."

"Lastly, although the performance of Nvidia's new chip appears to be 1.5x-2.0x faster than AMD's MI300, it is also over twice as expensive. We continue to believe AMD should get 10% of the AI processing market," added the investment bank.
